Why Skateboarding?

Benefits of learning how to skateboard:
  • Skateboarding is a great way to exercise and have fun at the same time.

  • It has been proven to increase balance, agility, coordination, and reaction time. It specifically targets the leg muscles and core muscles.
  • Great form of cardiovascular activity (20 minutes or more) that increases the heart rate while burning calories and developing muscle.
  • Personal and self-esteem building, social interaction and keeping the youth out of trouble.
  • Getting at-risk kids involved in a sport is a great way to increase their confidence and set them on the right track in life.
